ระบบท่อลมขนส่ง (Pneumatic Tube System , PTS).

ระบบท่อลมขนส่งคือระบบขนส่งเอกสารและวัสดุด้วยแรงลม โดยส่งผ่านไปตามท่อส่งซึ่งติดตั้งเป็นเครือข่ายเชื่อมโยงจุดรับ-ส่งเข้าไว้ด้วยกัน โดยใช้กระสวยเป็นตัวกลางในการขนส่งซึ่งมีให้เลือกหลายขนาดแล้วแต่ลักษณะการใช้งานซึ่งแตกต่างกันไป เหมาะสำหรับการขนส่งวัสดุขนาดเล็กที่ต้องการความเร่งด่วน ซึ่งจะทำให้ช่วยประหยัดเวลา รวดเร็ว ปลอดภัย

การทำงานของระบบท่อลม

การขนส่งในระบบท่อลมอาศัยชุดเครื่องกำเนิดลมเป็นต้นกำลังในการเป่าหรือดูดในระบบท่อลม และมีไดเวอร์เตอร์เป็นอุปกรณ์ช่วยในการส่งกระสวยไปยังเส้นทางที่แตกต่างกันในระบบ โดยไม่มีข้อจำกัดด้านระยะทางหรือความสูง ผู้ใช้เพียงแต่บรรจุวัสดุหรือเอกสารลงในภาชนะบรรจุรูปทรงกระบอก (กระสวย – CARRIER) ที่ออกแบบมาเฉพาะ  แล้วใส่กระสวยดังกล่าวลงในท่อส่งที่สถานีส่ง  กดรหัสสถานีปลายทาง ระบบก็จะทำการส่งวัสดุไปตามท่อส่งด้วยความรวดเร็วจนเสร็จสิ้นกระบวนการ และด้วยการควบคุมจากหน่วยควบคุมส่วนกลางของระบบจะทำให้ท่านมั่นใจได้ว่าวัสดุที่ส่งผ่านระบบท่อลมนั้นจะถึงมีผู้รับได้อย่างถูกต้อง ปลอดภัย

ส่วนประกอบของระบบท่อลม

ส่วนประกอบหลักๆ ของระบบท่อลมขนส่งได้แก่

สถานีรับ-ส่ง
คืออุปกรณ์ที่ใช้เป็นจุดรับและส่งกระสวย มีหลายรูปแบบให้เลือกใช้ตามความเหมาะสมกับกิจการแต่ละประเภท

กระสวย หรือ Carrier
เป็นภาชนะทรงกระบอกใช้สำหรับบรรจุสิ่งของที่จะขนส่งผานทางระบบท่อลม มีหลายขนาด ที่ความยาวต่างๆ รวมทั้งกระสวยที่ออกแบบขึ้นเฉพาะอย่างเช่น กระสวยกันน้ำ, RFID, anti-microbial เป็นต้น

ชุดเครื่องกำเนิดลม
เป็นต้นกำลังในระบบท่อลม มีหน้าที่สร้างแรงลมดูด และลมเป่า ให้สอดคล้องกับจังหวะการทำงานของระบบท่อลม เครื่องกำเนิดลมนี้จะหยุดการทำงานทันทีที่การรับ-ส่งสิ้นสุดลง

ไดเวอร์เตอร์ (Diverter)
เป็นอุปกรณ์ที่ใช้สำหรับกำหนดแนวเส้นท่อที่จะส่งกระสวยผ่านไปยังสถานีที่กำหนดได้อย่างถูกต้อง โดยจะรับคำสั่งมาจากหน่วยควบคุมส่วนกลางของ มีลักษณะการใช้งานทั้งแบบ 2 ทิศทางและ 3 ทิศทาง เหมาะสำหรับที่จะติดตั้งบนเพดานหรือผนังในตำแหน่งที่เหมาะสม

ท่อส่ง (Pneumatic Tube)
เป็นท่อที่ผลิตมาเพื่อใช้ในระบบท่อลมรับ-ส่งเอกสารและพัสดุเท่านั้น ทีทั้งท่อตรงและท่อโค้ง มีหลายขนาดหลายแบบให้เลือกใช้ตามความต้องการ

เป็นระบบท่อลมขนาดเล็ก 2 จุดรับส่ง ใช้สำหรับการขนส่งที่ต้องการความรวดเร็ว และใช้เฉพาะการขนส่งระหว่าง 2 หน่วยงาน ประยุกต์ใช้ได้กับทุกๆ กิจการ เช่นร้านค้า, ร้านอาหาร, ศูนย์บริการ, ธนาคาร, สำนักงาน, ห้องปฏิบัติการ, โรงงาน เป็นต้น

ระบบท่อลมสำหรับโรงงานอุตสหกรรม

ตู้ขนส่ง

ส่วนของตู้ขนส่งจะมีอุปกรณ์จับยึดแผ่นเพลทได้ 8-16 แผ่นต่อตู้ เพื่อขนส่งจากฝ่ายผลิตเพลทพิมพ์ไปยังแท่นพิมพ์ได้อย่างรวดเร็ว แทนการใช้รถเข็น ซึ่งอาจจะสร้างความเสียหายกับเพลทได้ รวมทั้งยังสามารถประหยัดพื้นที่ทางเดิน และพื้นที่เก็บสำหรับรถเข็นได้อย่างมาก ระบบนี้เหมาะใช้ในกิจการด้านโรงพิมพ์
